Indian judges visit Moenjodaro

LARKANA, Feb 23: A delegation of Indian judges that attended the Saarc law conference in Karachi, visited Moenjodaro and Sindh High Court, Larkana bench, on Monday.

The delegation comprised Justice Vejander Jer (Indian Supreme Court), Justice B. A. Khan and Justice M. R. Kaka (Delhi High Court) and was accompanied by Justice (Retd) Zahid Kurban Alvi.

The judges also attended a lunch hosted by Sindh Additional Advocate-General Mohammed Bachal Tunio and a reception hosted by the Larkana High Court Bar Association. They invited judges and advocates of Larkana to visit Delhi.

They also witnessed court proceedings of the SHC, Larkana bench, and met Justice Wahid Bakhsh Brohi. Illahi Bakhsh Kehar, president, HCBA, and others welcomed the guests at the court.

The bar members presented Sindhi caps, Ajraks and books to the guests. They praised the local SHC building which is a replica of the Karachi SHC building. The Indian delegation also took a round of the pre-historic site of Moenjodaro and visited its museum.Site curator Irshad Ahmed Ridd briefed them about the relics kept at the museum.
