RIYADH, Feb 19: From August this year, Saudi Arabia will start fingerprinting every foreigner entering the kingdom. All the 10 fingers of incoming passengers will be recorded, Director General Passports, Major General AbdulAziz Jameel Sajeeni has been quoted as saying to the press here.

"Work is going on in the National Information Centre to make arrangements to implement the new system," he added.

The system has been designed to overcome the problems of overstaying and forgery. Overstaying is a major problem here and many pilgrims tend to overstay.
