LAHORE, Feb 19: A World Health Organization (WHO) vehicle was allegedly attacked at Barkat Town in Shahdara on Thursday. Police said the vehicle was carrying Dr Abdul Razzak of Somalia with driver Azhar Mahmood to Islamabad. The doctor told the police that some explosive hit the vehicle and burst. However, he and his driver remained unhurt.

The police said samples had been collected from the scene. It is premature to say anything, a police officer said, and added nothing had so far been found to establish the mode of attack. However, a case under terrorism charges was registered with no arrest.
