QUETTA, Feb 17: Additional sessions judge-III Jan Mohammad Gohar on Tuesday upheld the civil court judgment of not allowing seven players to take part in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy.
The court dismissed the appeal filed by Abdul Rehman and others affiliated with the Cricketers Association of Balochistan, challenging the verdict of the civil court.
The appellant had prayed to the court to reject the players selected by a committee which, they said, deprived the real cricketers who had represented Balochistan in various games in the past.
The sessions court upheld the decision of the lower court allowing 19 players to participate in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy and dropping the seven controversial cricketers from the tournament.
