NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Feb 10: A large number of people took out a procession in Kotri Kabir on Tuesday and demanded arrest of four police officials allegedly involved in the murder of Yasin Lund at the Mehrabpur police station.

The protesters blocked the National Highway and staged a sit-in for two hours. They complained that the police were not arresting SHO Mehrabpur Zaman Rind, ASI Faiz Mohammad, HC Mohammad Moosa and Majeed who tortured Yasin Lund to death a few days back.

The protesters also gathered outside the Mehrabpur police station and burnt tyres. Then they reached the Mehrabpur railway station and attacked the Tezro Express, smashing its glasses. The train was stopped for about one hour.

They only dispersed when DPO investigation Gul Mohammad Shar assured the protesters that involved police officials would be arrested by Wednesday, but the protesters warned that they would again stage their protest if the SHO and other police officials were not arrested.
