TOKYO, May 17: Fans at one World Cup soccer match in Japan next month may be surprised by the ball boys — because they will be girls.

In an unusual move, a group of girls from a Tokyo high school soccer club will serve as “ball boys” — people responsible for helping out by retrieving balls that may go out of bounds — when Ireland take on Saudi Arabia on June 11, Kyodo news agency said on Friday.—Reuters
