PFF's bid to host U-14 Asia Cup fails

LAHORE, Jan 21: Pakistan Football Federation's (PFF)bidto host the inaugural Asia Cup under-14 failed after the Asian Football Federation (AFC) decided Nepal would hold the event from April 5 to 11, an official said on Wednesday.

He said that the federation has decided to shift the nationalunder-23 training camp for the 9th SAF Games from Iqbal Park Sports Complex in Lahore to Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad.

The camp concludes here on Jan 30 for the Eid-ul-Azhaand resumes from Feb 5. The spokesman said that in another landmark decision PFF plans to start National League later in April after its preliminary roundatdistrict and provincial levels has concluded in March.
