LANDI KOTAL (Khyber Agency), Jan 15: Prolonged loadshedding of electricity has negatively affected computer classes in a number of schools in Landi Kotal sub-division of Khyber Agency.

More than 500 students attend various computer courses in around 15 schools, including government high schools and the Government Degree College Landi Kotal. Many students have registered a written complaint with the political authorities, but the officials concerned failed to take a notice of their problems.

Karimullah, a student at a local computer school, said loadshedding not only effected their studies, but also wasted their precious time. "We have to wait for hours for the electricity restoration," he said.

Arif Khan Shinwari, another student, complained that earlier he had to leave a course incomplete due to these unscheduled loadsheddings. "Now I have joined again and will have to pay again for a fresh course," he said. Barialay, a computer instructor, said a number of students had stopped attending their classes because of the problem.
