QUETTA, Jan 15: Opposition leader in the Balochistan assembly Kachkol Ali Baloch has urged the federal government to fix a quota either on provincial or district basis on overseas employment opportunities.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, he said smaller provinces should not be deprived of their just share in overseas jobs. The federal government, he suggested, should formulate a policy to safeguard the interests of all provinces in the employment abroad and emphasized that Balochistan should be given priority in the government decision of sending 200,000 people abroad.
Kachkol Baloch claimed that Balochistan was seriously confronted with unemployment and demanded immediate steps to resolve the problem. The opposition leader attributed joblessness to non-implementation of the Balochistan quota in federal services and lack of industrial infrastructure in the province.
