ISLAMABAD, Jan 13: Pakistan and Iran on Tuesday decided to upgrade the bilateral economic interaction to the mutual advantage of the two countries in the years ahead.
The decision was taken during a meeting between Mohsen Aminzadeh, Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran, and Foreign Secretary Riaz H. Khokhar here. The Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister, who arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday for a two-day visit, had a round of bilateral consultations with the Pakistan Foreign Secretary here at the Foreign Office.
The Foreign Secretary and the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister had in-depth exchange of views on bilateral relations. They also had an exchange of views on global and regional issues of mutual interest.
The Foreign Secretary briefed the visiting dignitary on the recently-concluded Saarc summit, including the Kashmir dispute, and the visit of the Prime Minister to Kabul on Jan 12.-APP
