HYDERABAD, Jan 9: The founder of the Jeay Sindh Students Federation, Iqbal Tareen, has said that groups struggling for rights must develop a working relationship with democratic movements all over the world.
He was speaking at a function organized by the Sindh National Council at the press club here on Thursday. Mr Tareen said the people of Sindh would have to discard outdated political and social tendencies and adopt a scientific thinking to achieve the rights.
He said presently the national struggle was a contradiction of democratic movement and added that Sindh must support democratic movement to achieve its rights.
He was of the view that nothing could be achieved through politics of hatred. Mr Tareen said: "When we talk of the rights, the central idea should be Sindh and not Sindhis only."
Mr Tareen said the biggest power in Sindh was the women and added that if consciousness was created among them they could change the fate of Sindh. Ibrahim Joyo, Rochi Ram,Hussain Bux Thebo and others also spoke on the occasion.
