KASUR, May 31: Four people allegedly shot dead a man over canal water dispute in Chak 5 Rasoolpur, Pattoki, on Saturday.
Police said Amjad Ali alias Pappu had a quarrel with Muhammad Shafiq a few days ago over the canal water issue. The elders of the village resolved their dispute.
Shafiq along with his three accomplices went to the poultry farm of Amjad and shot him dead.
Pattoki Sadar police have registered a case on the report of Muhammad Shafi, the father of Shafiq. No arrest has so far been made.
RAPE: A married woman, ‘S’, was raped in Rajowal Kuhna, Khuddian.
She was on her way home after taking medicine from a doctor’s clinic when Amin forcibly took her to his house and raped her at gunpoint.
Khuddian police have registered a case on the report of her husband.
KIDNAPED: Three people, including a woman, kidnapped a teenage girl in Dina Nath village, Phoolnagar.
Police said Fayyaz, Mushtaq and Surayya Bibi kidnapped 14-year-old ‘S’ at gunpoint when she was alone in her house.
The kidnappers allegedly took away Rs5,000 in cash and gold jewellery worth Rs30,000 from the house, police added.
Phoolnagar police have registered a case.
COUPLE ROBBED: Three robbers deprived a newly married couple of cash, gold and a motorcycle in Saharan village.
Police said Ashraf and his wife Sughra were on their way to Phoolnagar by a motorcycle (LXM-2130). When they reached near the village, the robbers intercepted them and snatched Rs1,600 in cash, gold jewellery and vehicle.
