KARACHI, Feb 20: The City District Government Karachi (CDGK) has planned four flyovers to be constructed along its third signal-free corridor, projected to start from Empress Market (Saddar) and end at Safoora Goth (Malir).

Speaking to the staff concerned while inspecting the initial works on the project at Jail Chowrangi in the early hours of Friday, City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal said that construction of the signal-free corridor-III would cost Rs2.25 billion.

The nazim was briefed about the flyovers which would be constructed at Jail Chowrangi, Nipa Chowrangi, Abul Hasan Ispahani Road and Samama Mall intersection (University Road).

The project also provides for the reconstruction and beautification of a section of the University Road (between Hassan Square and Safoora Goth). The work will be completed within four months.
