TOKYO, Feb 6: Adviser to Prime Minister on Finance Shaukat Tarin told Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso on Friday that Pakistan needed huge international help to overcome its financial difficulties, the Japanese foreign ministry said.

Mr Tarin thanked Japan for extending its naval mission to provide fuel to US-led operations in Afghanistan during a meeting here with Mr Aso. Mr Aso told the adviser that securing stability in Pakistan was important for the international community. He was assured that Pakistan would continue to take measures against terrorism.—AFP
