MIRPURKHAS, Feb 3: Body of a retired military captain was recovered from his office near Military graveyard in Satellite town on Tuesday.

On receiving the information, the Satellite town police went to the house of the deceased, Captain (retd)Amir Farooque, 42, recovered his body and shifted it to the mortuary of the civil hospital Mirpurkhas for a post-mortem examination.

SPO Satellite town Mohammad Ayub Dars said that the retired captain was residing at Satellite town for the last two years while on the information police recovered his body from his house and shifted it to civil hospital.

He confirmed that rope marks were found at the neck of the body. However, he said that motive behind the killing could not be ascertained.

He said that deceased had married Zubaida, daughter of Abdul Kareem, about two years back after Ms Zubaida had obtained a divorce from her first husband.

He said that after this incident, Zubaida was missing and the police were searching for her.
