QUETTA, May 14: A pipeline linking two gas wells in the Sui field in Balochistan caught fire when unknown men resorted to indiscriminate firing causing damage to the pipeline and suspension in the supply of gas, in the wee hours of Tuesday, official sources said.

According to sources, unknown men fired at the pipeline linking gas wells No 5 and 6 with the main gas plant. The pipeline got damaged and caught fire.

After the incident engineers and staff of the PPL rushed to the site and cut off gas supply from both the wells to control the fire.—Staff Correspondent
