KGS reach last four

KARACHI, Jan 13: Defending champions Karachi Grammar School (KGS) kicked out BVS High School from the ongoing Karachi United School Football Championship by winning their quarter-final match 12-0 at the DHA Stadium on Monday evening.

Striker Zaid Kerai earned a double hat-trick when he scored as many as seven goals (7th, 41st, 46th, 50th, 57th, 61st and 66th minutes), bringing himself on equal footing with Mohammad Bin Yunus of St Patrick’s High School. Both have so far scored 12 goals in the tournament.

The rest of the goals in KGS’s winning tally were contributed by their striker Shezer Razi, who scored two goals (11th and 69th minutes), midfielder Karim Kerai (16th minute), left-winger Usman Saad (23rd minute) and defender Ali Haider (28th minute).
