LAHORE, Jan 12: A group of 52 doctors and paramedics of the Allama Iqbal Medical College (AIMC) is going to Gaza next week to provide medical care to Palestinians.
AIMC Principal Prof Javed Akram told Dawn on Monday he would take the group to Egypt from where they would enter Gaza and serve the injured Palestinians. He said the first batch would remain there for two weeks.
He said doctors and nurses of Jinnah Hospital had a plan to stay there in rotation for at least six months. The doctors would meet their own expense. They would also take the donated goods there.
