SHIKARPUR, Jan 11: Three kidnap victims were freed from the Drighpur area after an encounter on Saturday night, the Humayoon police said.

According to police, they raided the hideout of the criminals in the Drighpur area and after an encounter recovered Shahnawaz Brohi, Mir Gul Brohi and Mohammad Sharif Palal of Dera Murad Jamali.

They were kidnapped from Jacobabad–Shikarpur road in the Sultankot area 11 days ago. They were going to Dera Murad Jamali in a car when some outlaws kidnapped them.

After their recovery, they were taken to the office of DPO Shikarpur Khadim Hussain Rind and then sent to their homes under police security.
