KARACHI, Jan 9: An All Party Conference has condemned the Israeli brutalities in the Gaza strip and the reported use of phosphorus bombs against the Palestinians.

The APC, organised by the Jamaat-i-Islami, adopted a resolution which urged the Pakistani government to play its role for the unity of Ummah and asked all Islamic countries to provide help to the Palestinian people. The JI deputy chief, Prof Ghafoor Ahmad, presided over the conference which was attended by a dozen leaders of different political parties.

The resolution also urged the Pakistani government to extend all sorts of assistance and help to the Palestinians and play its role to stop Israeli aggression through the UN Security Council forum.

The resolution urged the Pakistani government to call an emergency meeting of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference to condemn the Israeli aggression and provide practical support to Palestinians.

Earlier, addressing the APC, Prof Ghafoor warned that if the world community failed to stop the Israeli massacre of Palestinian Muslims, the Jewish state would start killing Christians as well.

According to international news agencies reports at least 785 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces over the past two weeks. And two-thirds of the victims are Palestinian children.
