KASUR, Jan 7: A shopkeeper has threatened to commit suicide if the district administration demolishes his shop.

Muhammad Ajmal Shad has the ownership rights of a shop located near Baldia Chowk for the last two decades, and this shop is the source of livelihood for him.

Earlier, the district administration razed hundreds of shops and houses during an anti-encroachment campaign. Shad’s shop is being demolished under the model city project. It is said the district administration has plans to demolish various shops despite the fact that their owners have ownership rights.—Correspondent
