GUJRANWALA, May 13: A meeting of the National People’s Party, Punjab, will be held here on May 17.
The meeting, to be held at the residence of Punjab president Chaudhry Iqbal Cheema in Satellite Town, will decide about an alliance with like-minded political parties for the general elections.
This was stated by NPP’s district president Muhammad Sharif in a press release here on Monday.
STRIKE: Shopkeepers of the auto market on Sialkot Road continued their strike on Monday to condemn the attack on their colleague by rivals.
At a meeting, the Motorcycle Spare Parts Dealers and Mechanics Association decided to continue their strike till the arrest of the accused.
The shop of Ghayyas was attacked reportedly by rivals on Sunday over a money dispute. The attackers also injured his assistant, Majid, on resistance.
SHOT DEAD: A man was shot dead allegedly by a vagabond in Bhri Shah Rahman village here on Monday.
Ghulam Mustafa was present in his house when Saifullah called him out and shot him dead.
Reports said Mustafa had got registered a theft case against the accused and the court awarded him 10-month imprisonment. He was released from jail recently.
