KARACHI, Jan 3: City government officials with magisterial powers on Saturday carried out surprise raids in different towns to check profiteering and imposed a total fine of Rs71,650 on 63 shopkeepers for overcharging.

A city government press release said that the campaign against profiteering would continue, and warned traders and shopkeepers against charging higher than the CDGK-fixed prices.—APP
