KARACHI, Jan 3: LPG producers and marketing companies have increased the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs4 to Rs59 per kg in Sindh including Karachi effective from Saturday, Jan 3.
Chairman of LPG Distributors Association Hadi Khan in a statement said that after this increase LPG will be selling at Rs60 per kg in Lahore and Rs 65 in Peshawar.
Similarly, the retail price of 11.8kg cylinder is up by Rs50 to Rs590 and 45.4 kg cylinder by Rs180 to Rs2,315 in Sindh, including Karachi, he added.
He said that the country’s daily demand for LPG has surged to 22,000 tons, while local production is 1,500 tons, creating a shortage of 700 tons per day. —APP
