Dacoit lynched for killing two sisters

KASUR, Dec 21: Villagers lynched a bandit who reportedly killed two sisters during a dacoity bid on Saturday night in the limits of Raja Jang police station.

Reports said that a dacoit barged into Rehmat Ali’s house and held the family hostage at a pistol point. On offering resistance, the dacoit opened indiscriminate fire, killing Savaira instantly and injuring her sister Rehana seriously, who also died on Sunday evening. Villagers besieged the house and forced the dacoit to surrender. They later thrashed him to death. He was later identified as Mubashar of the same village.

However, Raja Jang police suspected that Mubashar had relations with one of the diseased sisters and had gone there to see her.

Meanwhile, two unidentified dacoits looted Rs56,000 in cash and five tolas of gold from the house of Ibrahim Ambalvi in Old Ghala Mandi in Kot Radha Kishan on Sunday.

KILLED: A motorcyclist was killed while his brother sustained serious injuries when a speeding car hit them in the Sadar police station limits on Sunday.

Reports said that Nadeem, 24, along with his brother Umair, 20, was on the way to Kasur from his Taragur village when the incident occurred. Both sustained serious injuries. Nadeem died while being taken to hospital while Umair was shifted to Lahore General Hospital in a critical condition.
