HYDERABAD, Dec 19: A hand-cuffed boy, Asad Khaskheli, appeared before sessions court here on Friday after fleeing from police detention at a private place in Qasimabad area since Dec 15.
The court registered a direct compliant against an ASI, a police constable and an unidentified person along with issuing bailable warrants against them.
Asad recording statement before the court of civil judge and judicial magistrate-VI said that he was held by police at a private place located behind a filling station in Qasimabad area. Finding an opportunity he fled from there and reached at his cousin, Niaz Khashkheli’s house near Hyderabad by-pass who brought him to sessions court which referred him to the concerned court.
He said that he was picked-up by ASI Inayat Zardari, In-charge Investigation Wing, Qasimabad police station, Constable Mohammad Rafiq and an unidentified person on Dec 15 while returning home from the court after attending hearing in a theft case along with co-accused Muzamil. He said that he was also kept in Kotri.
In response to an application filed by Niaz Khaskheli against his detention, Qasimabad Operation and Investigation wings denied arresting him, in even one case.
The court registered a direct complaint and issued bailable warrants against the above-mentioned policemen. The court removed Asad’s hand-cuff and allowed him to go with his father, Lakha Dino.Asad was the same boy who made headlines after footage on TV channels showed him lurking in a police lock-up with hands chained and prompting the then Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry take suo motu notice. Soon after, he was released by the then sessions judge, Hyderabad.
In the present scenario, police arrested Asad as he was challaned in two similar theft cases, to pressurise the family in surrendering his cousin Irshad Khashkheli, booked in a murder case at Qasimabad police station.
The murder case was registered by a man of Siyal community following an armed attack on a flat last week.
Police was raiding different places for Irshad Khaskheli but could not find him.
