LAHORE: The BCCI President Shashank Manohar has expressed hope that cricket will resume between Pakistan and his country soon after the situation gets better between the neighbouring countries. A Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) spokesman said that Shashank had expressed these thoughts through an e-mail message to the PCB on Thursday.
“We were waiting to hear from the government and today they have officially communicated their inability to grant permission at this juncture,” the BCCI president said in the email. “However, we hope that in due course, when the situation changes, cricket will resume between the two countries.” — M.Y.
