FAISALABAD, Dec 13: Senior Minister Raja Riaz Ahmad has said the provincial government will install water purification plants at all union councils of PP-65 and Rs713 million have been allocated for new sewerage lines for the locality.
Reviewing the status of development works in progress in many areas, especially in his own (PP-65) constituency, at the Commissioner Office on Saturday, he said the government was making efforts to provide basic necessities of life to the masses.
He said billion of rupees were being spent on provision of potable water, roads, education, health and improvement of sanitation system across the country.
Trustworthy construction companies had been engaged to execute the development projects and in future the same strategy would be adopted, he added. The minister asked DCO Saeed Iqbal to make active all town administrations for beautification of the district.
Wasa Managing-Director Dr Arshad informed the officials that all ponds of dirty water were being removed from the gastroenteritis-hit area of Chiragh Town.
