JACOBABAD, Dec 13: A shutter-down strike was observed here on Saturday on a call given by Hindu Panchayat and small trade union in protest against killing by robbers of a trader Sandeep Kumar at his shop near Tower police picket.

Sandeep’s father, Darshan Lal, said that three armed men entered their shop and tried to snatch cash from Sandeep but he fled and the robbers opened fire him. He died on the spot.

Darshan Lal has lodged an FIR against three unidentified men.
