Four killed in separate incidents

SUKKUR, Dec 13: The ongoing rivalry between the Sundrani and Teghani communities claimed another life in the katcha area in the jurisdiction of Keti police station near Ghouspur on Saturday.

The old enmity between the two communities resulted into an armed clash here on Saturday as a result of which Abdul Razzaq Sundrani was killed on the spot. Keti police shifted the body to Ghouspur hospital for a post-mortem examination, but no case was registered. Another person was gunned reportedly by his rivals in Dubbar police limits near Rohri.

According to reports, Rafiq Ahmed Jagirani, 22, was sitting at a hotel when three unknown armed persons came to the hotel and opened fire on him and fled. The area police shifted the body to taluka hospital Rohri for legal formalities.

Deceased’s father Ali Dur Jagirani told the police that his son’s murder was the result of an old enmity between two groups of the Jagirani community. However, no case was registered.

ACCIDENT: Two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident at Sukkur-Shikarpur road, near Lakhi Ghulam Shah.

Abdul Ghafoor Kato and Shaman Ali Kato riding a motorcycle were on their way to Lakhi Ghulam Shah, when a fast-moving trailer hit their motorcycle killing both men on the spot. The trailer driver fled the scene, while the area police impounded the trailer.

INJURED: Six passengers of a Ghotki-bound bus were injured by dacoit when they offered resistance.

Dacoits intercepted the bus near Masoo Wah at Jarwar-Ghotki link road in the jurisdiction of Mirpur Mathelo police. The armed men took the occupants of the bus hostage at gunpoint and started looting the passengers.

Some passengers offered resistance to them and on this the dacoits beat them with the butts of their guns, injuring six passengers and fled. The injured included the bus driver, Karim Shah, Bilawal Din Gabole, Dildar Bozdar, Liaqat Mochi, Yasin Gabole and Manzoor Gabole. All the injured were shifted to Mirpur Mathelo hospital. No case was registered.
