RAWALPINDI, Dec 11: People faced severe shortage of cash on Eid as most of the automated teller machines (ATMs) remained out of order, leaving many clients in the lurch.

Long queues of people were seen outside the ATMs on Monday as they waited in the rain to get cash to celebrate Eid and buy sacrificial animals.

An extraordinary demand for cash through ATMs is usually witnessed on the occasion of Eid.
