SARGODHA, Dec 7: The Sargodha Stone Crushers Association has voiced its concern over the increasing incidence of highway robbery and sought government protection during travelling at night.

The reaction came after the killing of wife of association president Babar Akram.

Reports said Babar Akram along with family was on his way home from Islamabad on Saturday morning. Near 33-Phatak on Sargodha-Bhalwal Road, some 5km from here, four armed men tried to stop his car and opened fire, killing his wife on the spot.

The association has demanded early arrest of the accused and sought protection of life and property of citizens.
