HYDERABAD, Dec 6: The Pakistan India Peoples Forum for Peace and Democracy (PIPFPD) condemning terrorism in Mumbai termed it a ploy of the enemy to sabotage peace efforts between the two neighbours.
Officials of the Forum, Sindh chapter, Mir Sikandar Ali Khan Talpur and Syed Abbasi Ali Jafri advocate through a statement said that no religion or ideology permits massacre of innocent people adding that the development and prosperity of people of Pakistan and India depends on peace.
They appealed to the leaders of two countries to refrain from issuing provocative statements which would further aggravate the situation.
DATE EXTENDED: Wasa has extended the last date for depositing water bills up to Dec 17 without any penalty.
A statement issued on Saturday said that Wasa had issued water bills for November with the due date as Dec 5, but keeping in view Eid holidays, it had further extended the date to Dec 17 without late surcharge.
Consumers were advised to deposit their bills on or before December 17.
CHAIR: The University of Sindh has with immediate effect established “Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Chair” at Allama I.I.Kazi Campus Jamshoro in recognition of the supreme sacrifices rendered by Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto for democracy and welfare of the people.
The University Registrar M.Saleh Rajar issued a notification in this regard on Saturday.
It may be pointed out that the Government of Sindh had recently sanctioned Rs.150 million for the establishment of Chair and construction of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Convocation Hall at the Campus.
SCHEDULE: Principal, Government Sindh Law College Hyderabad in a press release issued on Saturday announced that students of LL.B Part-I with reference no: 01 to 200 for session 2008-2009, shall appear in entry test on Dec 16 from 11am to 12 noon and with reference no: 201 and onwards on the same date from 5pm to 6pm.
The principal advised the students to appear in entry test along with the receipt of reference number.
