KARACHI, Dec 3: Opener Hasnain Alam smashed a rapid-fire half-century but his excellent effort was not enough to save Pakistan’s disabled cricketers from a two-run loss at the hands of Rest of Pakistan Stars in an exhibition Twenty20 match that was held to mark the World Disable Day, at the UBL Sports Complex on Wednesday.

Hasnain, handicapped by crushed fingers of the foot, banged six fours and three sixes in his 52-ball 68 while Khalid Khan hit a brace of fours and sixes in his 12-ball 26 as Pakistan disabled cricketers were restricted to 151 for seven in the allotted 20 overs. Aamir Hanif grabbed four wickets for 18 in his four overs.

Earlier, batting first, Rest of Pakistan Stars mustered 153 for eight wickets in 20 overs. Azam Khan top-scored with 34 that included three hits to the boundary.

Besides Hasnain, Pakistan’s disabled wicket-keeper Abdur Rehman was outstanding behind the stumps accounting for five stumpings. Off-spinner Mohammad Kalam claimed three wickets for 11 and captain Salim Karim claimed three for 19.
