Warrants for arrest of doctor, policeman

RAWALPINDI, Dec 2: An additional sessions judge (ASJ) here on Tuesday issued arrest warrants of a doctor and a police official for not appearing in the court to submit their statements in a case about the explosion at an illegal warehouse of fire crackers in Ganjmandi area.

Judge Rana Mohammad Ali issued the arrest warrants of a doctor of the District Headquarters (DHQ) hospital and asked him to explain in written the cause of not appearing in the court to record his statement. The court also issued arrest warrants of a head constable of the Ganjmandi police for not appearing in the court despite repeated summons.The two officials were to record their statements in the case of an explosion in a house storing fire crackers that resulted in the collapse of the building and death of two men and injuries to eight persons. The owner of the house got registered a criminal case against three accused who allegedly stored the explosive material illegally in the house.
