LAHORE, Nov 27: Clerks on Thursday observed a pen down strike and staged demonstrations outside Civil Secretariat and Assembly Chambers to press for their demands for upgradation of their posts and regularisation of contract staff.

Clerks observed the strike on the call of the All-Pakistan Clerks Association and staged a demonstration in front of the Civil Secretariat.

Five clerks were injured when their procession was attacked allegedly by Pakistan Muslim League men at GPO Chowk. — Reporter
