LAKKI MARWAT, Nov 16: Local government representatives of Lower Marwat have accused the Saifullah brothers of spending funds meant for the whole district on specific areas.

At a meeting held here on Sunday they alleged that MNA Humayun Saifullah Khan and Senator Salim Saifullah were meting out step-motherly treatment to the residents of PF-76, Lakki Marwat-III.

They said that Saifullah brothers were focusing on the uplift of their home constituency despite the fact that the inhabitants of the whole district including the constituents of the PF-76 voted for Humayun Saifullah Khan to elect him as MNA.

The local bodies’ members referred to some newspaper reports according to which Humayun Saifullah and Salim Saifullah had said that they would set aside funds out of their developmental allocations for provision of gas to Tajazai, Lawangkhel, Gul Baz Dehqan, Asmatabad, Ghaznikhel and other hamlets of their home constituency.

“Spending huge chunk of funds on the uplift of some specific localities at the cost of depriving other deserving parts of the district will harm and damage the political reputation of Saifullahs in the area”, they maintained, calling upon the former to ensure just utilisation of uplift funds in the three constituencies of the district.“We do not oppose providing natural gas facility to the villages lying in PF-75 but what we want to bring into the notice of Saifullahs is that they should not ignore the residents of other constituencies including PF-74 (Lakki Marwat-I)”, they said.
