JACOBABAD, Nov 10: Four men were kidnapped in two different incidents from the district on Sunday and Monday.

Dr Hameed Kehar and his driver Allah Dino were kidnapped from the jurisdiction of Saddar police station here on Monday. Saddar police on receiving information reached the spot.

Saddar SHO told Dawn that the double- door pick-up of the kidnappees was found from the jurisdiction of Saddar police station.

However, it could not be ascertained as to which direction the accused fled. No FIR was lodged till the filing of this report. Those kidnapped were returning from Garhi Khairo to Jacobabad.

Later, doctors, paramedics and hospital clerks took out a rally to protest against the kidnapping of Dr Kehar and his driver.

Protesters carrying placards and banners criticised police and gathered outside the EDO health office.On Sunday a trader and his driver were kidnapped from the jurisdiction of Dilmurad police in Thul area.

Saroop Chand, a shopkeeper was on way to his shop in the jurisdiction of Thul. Armed person intercepted his car and at gunpoint kidnapped Saroopchand and his driver Bagan Lashari along with their vehicle. They left the car at some distance.

No FIR was lodged till the filing of this report.

BODY FOUND: Body of a teenaged boy Dodo Panhwar was recovered from a fish farm in the jurisdiction of Abad police station here on Monday. Deceased’s brother Punhal Panhwar lodged an FIR that Mir had a donkey cart and went to Jacobabad on Sunday but did not return.

Family members searched all over but could not find him. On Monday, a villager spotted the body in a fish farm. Abad police took the body to Civil Hospital Jacobabad and after post-mortem it was handed over to his relatives. Mir was the resident of Panhwar village.
