QUETTA, Nov 9: Police have failed to trace the killers of a senior government officer and his father who were gunned down in Satellite Town on Saturday.

The officer, Murtaza Marri, of the directorate of public relations, was going to his office with his banker father Abdullah Marri in his car when gunmen on a motorbike opened fire from a close range, killing both of them on the spot. Police said the motive behind the murder could not be ascertained, but a case had been registered.
