JHANG, Nov 8: Students kept Jhang-Toba Tek Singh road blocked for about two hours by burning tyres to protest the death of a fellow student in an accident on Saturday.

The victim, Javed Akbar, a first-year commerce student, was waiting for a bus for Jhang at Bagh bus stop at about 8am when a speeding coaster (JG 5545) hit him.

He died on the spot. Police have registered a case against the driver.—Correspondent
