Two killed in accident near Balkassar

CHAKWAL, Nov 8: Two jail officials were killed in a road accident near Balkassar Village at Chakwal-Talagang road, police sources said.

Two officials of District Jail Jhelum Liaqat Hussain and Tasavar Abbas, resident of Roopwal were on their way to Chakwal on a motorcycle late Friday night. When they reached near Balkassar, their motorcycle collided with a trailer that was parked alongside the road. As a result, both the motorcycle riders died on the spot.

On receiving the information, police reached the spot and handed the bodies over to the relatives of the deceased.

Two lawyers Shoaib Butt and Zaigham Abbas participated in the hunger strike camp of District Bar Chakwal. The lawyers chanted anti-government slogans and in favour of the deposed chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry. The lawyers vowed to continue their struggle until the restoration of all the deposed Judges.—Agencies
