QUETTA, Nov 7: The vice-chancellor of the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences has denied reports that the university building was damaged by the recent earthquake.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Engineer Farooq Bazai said that rumours about the building having been damaged were baseless.
“The building is completely safe,” he said.
He asked students not to pay heed to the rumours and pay full attention to their studies. He said that a team of university engineers had examined the building and found it safe and intact.
Mr Bazai said that people spreading the rumour had no knowledge about the university building, its structure and strength.
