KHUSHAB, Nov 5: The amir of Tehrik Khatam-i-Nabuat, Quaidabad, Maulana Qari Mohmmad Ismail, was shot dead in Chenabnagar near Joharabad on Tuesday night.

According to police, the Maulana was returning to Tableeghi Markaz, Joharabad, after visiting an ailing friend after Isha prayers when he was ambushed by unknown people on the way.

Family sources claimed that it was a target killing.—APP
