MARDAN, Nov 4: Two policemen were killed and two others injured when miscreants attacked a police van near Kharkay Chowki, in Lowand Khwar area, on Tuesday.

The police van was on a routine patrol on the Kharkay road when armed men opened fire, killing ASI Mohammad Sher and constable Mohammad Arif and injuring Sadiq and Sajid.

The attack took place on the road leading to the troubled Swat valley.
