KARACHI: Nine injured in students’ clash

KARACHI, Nov 4: At least nine students were injured on Tuesday evening in a clash between two groups of students at the S. M. Law College, police and witnesses said.

The police said that students belonging to the Islami Jamiat Talaba and the All Pakistan Muttahida Students Organisation (APMSO) attacked each other first with kicks and blows and then with clubs and stones.

They said a heavy contingent of police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.

Witnesses said that panic and tension prevailed in the vicinity as some of the students also resorted to firing into the air.

The IJT said that its four workers were injured while the APMSO said its five workers were injured in the clash.
