KARACHI, Nov 3: South Shore School swept the boys’ table tennis and badminton titles in the third JUC Inter-school tournament at the JUC premises on Monday.
In table tennis, their victim was Nixor School who went down 1-3 in the final as last year’s champions Fahim’s School System and runners-up Beaconhouse School System Cambridge PECHS were eliminated earlier.
In badminton, they toppled holders Foundation Public School 2-0 for the crown.
As for girls, defending champions Mama Parsi School lived up to their reputation when they beat last year’s runners-up Beaconhouse School System Cambridge PECHS 3-2 in the repeat final to retain badminton title.
Last year’s losing finalist Beaconhouse School System Cambridge PECHS took a sweet revenge when they dethrone holders Beaconhouse School System Jubilee Campus 2-0 to annex the girls’ badminton honours.

Table Tennis girls: Mama Parsi School bt Beaconhouse School System Cambridge PECHS 3-2. (Safna Virji lost to Hafsa Paracha 11-7, 6-11, 12-14; Almitra bt Shahjabeen 11-2, 11-5; Hamdah Khan lost to Urooj Jawed 4-11, 8-11; Almitra bt Hafsa Paracha11-2, 11-7; Safna Virji bt Shahjabeen 11-7, 11-6).
