KARACHI, Nov 3: Top seed Mustafa Zaidi cruised into the boys’ under-15 singles quarter-finals without even playing a match in the 18th STA Talent Hunt Sindh ranking tennis championship at CDGK Sports Complex on Monday.
Zaidi who got a bye in the first round in a draw of 32 received a walkover when his opponent Ali Hussain failed to turn up for the next fixture.
Fourth seed Adil Kohari and fifth seed Uzair A. Qadir joined Zaidi in the quarters after registering easy wins.

Lakhani 6-2, 6-0; Hina Patel walkover Seher Khwaja.
Girls’ under-17 singles: Eman Malik bt Saman Shahid 6-0, 6-1.
Juniors’ doubles: Basit Gabol and Nameer Shamsi bt Omer Usman and Yayha 6-3, 5-7, 6-4; Sarwan and Sanwal bt Omer Farooq and M. Hamid 6-4, 6-4; Talha Saeed and Abdul Rehman bt Omer Bayat and Faisal 6-0, 6-1.
Boys’ under-9 pro-set round robin: M. Raza Sawani bt Omair Tariq 8-5.
Boys’ under-15 singles (second round): Uzair A. Qadir bt Sheryar Ahmed 6-0, 6-1; Adil Kohari bt Omer Usman 6-1, 6-0; Mustafa Zaidi walkover Ali Hussain.
