BAHAWALPUR, Nov 2: Unscheduled loadshedding revisited the city and its suburbs on Sunday after a one-day break. Multan Electric Supply Company (Lesco) consumers experienced unannounced power breakdowns with four hours intervals on Sunday which affected business and routine life.
The practice is contrary to the statements of Federal Water and Water Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and Pakistan Electric Power Company (Pepco) officials, which said loadshedding had come to an end in cities.
Consumers demanded that Pepco take action against Mepco officials for violating minister’s orders and ensure regular supply to the city and its adjacent areas.
Some ginners also complained that they were not exempted from loadshedding on Sunday as had been claimed by the government.
They said that unless fulltime power supply was restored, they would not run their factories.—Correspondent
