KARACHI, Nov 2: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement has sent relief goods worth Rs23 million to the earthquake-hit areas of Balochistan since Wednesday.

Speaking at a press conference here on Sunday, provincial minister and a member of the party’s coordination committee Syed Shoaib Bukhari said that the party’s charity wing, Khidmat-i-Khalq Foundation, in collaboration with an international charity organisation sent teams of doctors and volunteers to the quake-hit areas. He said 20 doctors and 30 paramedics were providing treatment to earthquake victims at a medical camp set up by the MQM in Ziarat. In reply to a question, he dispelled the impression that the party was using government resources for carrying out the relief activities.—Staff Reporter
