ISLAMABAD, Oct 30: Technical proposals of bids for fast-track rental power projects were opened on Thursday.

The government had advertised its initiative of “Fast-Track Private Power Projects” on Sept 26 on the basis of international competitive bidding.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Water and Power Raja Pervez Ashraf said that the government was committed to ending the power crisis and reinforcing investors’ confidence.

The minister said the government would facilitate investors in developing the projects and expected that private sector would bring in the much-needed power as soon as possible.
